Dr. Maya Rios, ND, LAc

Languages: English, Spanish (native)

Dr. Maya Rios is a licensed naturopathic doctor and acupuncturist who blends hands-on therapies with thoughtful, whole-person medical care. With a background in physical medicine and a deep respect for the body’s ability to heal, she integrates naturopathic treatment with bodywork in most visits, often combining craniosacral therapy, acupuncture, visceral manipulation, or HVLA manipulations with lab investigation, prescriptions, and lifestyle support.

Before attending the National University of Natural Medicine, Dr. Rios worked in injury prevention and rehabilitation with collegiate athletes. She has since expanded her training to include shiatsu, Thai massage, tuina, and craniosacral therapy. She is currently pursuing midwifery training to deepen her work with pregnant and postpartum patients.

Dr. Rios completed a residency in family medicine and has a special passion for perinatal and pediatric care, supporting families through pregnancy, postpartum recovery, lactation challenges, and children’s health. She also excels at the puzzle of chronic illness and brings care and clarity to complex cases.

As a Puerto Rican, she was raised bilingual and is dedicated to serving the Spanish-speaking community with warmth and cultural connection.

Dr. Rios believes that everyone deserves to feel heard and empowered in their care. She creates space for questions, education, and shared decision-making. She also sees herself as part of a larger community network and seeks to connect patients with a team of supportive providers in addition to her personal care.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Rios is the mother of two young children, and together they can often be found frolicking outdoors, exploring nature’s endless wonders.

Dr. Rios is in network with BCBS, CareOregon, Moda (ND only), Pacific Source, and Certain Providence Plans (PEBB, Signature Network)
